after exams!! :D

have not been here for super long because of exams..the last post here was anciently old.
but i am back here, since the exams are over! and we had clique outing yesterday, and it was super fun!

thanks dears for agreeing to go out yesterday! :D

and we went vivo and shopped till we dropped, and we had a good lunch at Marche. :) i have seriously not gone out in a long time, glad that we had that good chance yesterday. and josh left for batam today and will only be back on monday.
hope he does have fun there! :)

and tmr is church, with small group! yipees~
i am looking forward to church camp 09! woots.

got nothing much to say now, just that i will be having bbq tmr night and it's gonna be fun.totally. :D

so june hols were ok on the whole, just that i was piled up with lots of homework and projects.. :(
but now i m only left with a math, which i m trying my best to complete :)

and the ipoh trip was real fun, and i will be going to batam tmr morning. and sammie is back! yays..have not seen her for a super long time :)

my english project has worked out real well, and we finished the video real quick in 2 days. kudos to swees, caryn, jolie and raine :) my life has been good all this while, and God is really working things out for me, always protecting me from harm and dangers :)

isn't it comforting to know that after you die, you will go to Heaven after you accept God as your Saviour and love of your life?
God is so good...all the time!! :) Jesus my first love, i'll never let you go!

and God really is guiding me through my life, and everywhere i go. i rededicated my faith on tuesday and i could really feel that God was always with me, and He will guide me through my daily life. Thank you God for being in my heart all the time!

and with Good Friday round the corner, i remember how God was hung on the cross to liberate me from my sins and i really feel grateful for what He did for me :)

through this week, i had many tests and my chem project at hand, i thought that i would not be able to handle it, without the support from my parents, leaders, friends and God, i could carry through. Thank you God for this people in my life and always taking care and loving me!! :)

drill comp '09

we finished drill comp yesterday and we got SILVER!!!

we're really happy as it was more than what we expected from our performance on the parade ground. :)

i really love pioneer contingent '09 and joy yeo for being our commander :) thanks joy for taking time out to practise with us and polishing up our steps. you've been a blessing to me.

our contingent has really bonded since the start of drill comp and for everyone of us, there is a unending story of memories to tell others about. being in drill comp is a chance that will never come by again and the times we had together will never be forgotten! :)

to me, being part of drill comp was one of the many blessings that God gave to me and meeting new people and getting to know others well from it really made me a better and more sociable person. i've learnt to open up more and to be more enthusiastic and proactive. :)

thank you js7s for always supporting 3rd coy all the way and in every aspect. :) thanks for always being there when we are in need. God bless all of you!

i just finished my drill camp yesterday and i just have one word to describe it- fruitful. i got a chance to bond with the rest of the people from senior and pioneer contingent. and we finally completed learning our fancy drill and i've learnt all my steps and i try not to get anything wrong, or off beat.

but i'm really tired, and my legs are aching like crazy. tmr i have drill again and i want to put in my 150% into it and i pray that i will not give up easily under tiredness but i believe that God will pick me up and give me strength to endure one last wk before competition. :)

i really want to do well and get good results for the drill comp after 3 months of constant practice. i don't want everything to go down the drain. :)

thank you seniors for always pushing us and encouraging us to always do better. thanks joy for your patience with us no matter how lousy we were and how un-disciplined we were during drill. thanks for being my sl and commander. :) i'm really blessed!

thanks for seeing me through the many weeks of tests Lord! i got my a and e maths back, and i really thank God that i passed both of them, as half the class failed the a maths test. i really need to buck up next time.
but God sustained me and gave me strength to survive those weeks and led me through. :)

we've started on fancy drill for our drill comp. and it's really working out quite well. we've started with not ashamed and we have to count our steps as we carry out fancy drill.
drill's becoming quite fun for us.

i'm becoming used to LifeLine and the boy leaders and boys are actually quite nice people. in our group, it is dominated by girls, so they tend to become very quiet when compared to the whole group of them making an equally whole lot of noise and pissing us off.

so small group's really working out for me and i'm happy to be in LifeLine.

drill comp...

i have 5 tests next week: physics, a math, e math, hcl and english. so far i've completed my homework for the weekend and i'll start revision tomorrow.

so far drill comp's okay, and we've finally started on fancy drill without the music yet. joy yeo and delci have come back to help us and polish us and i really hope that our standards will just keep improving and we'll not slacken but will push ourselves. we're just not giving our 100%, that's what i feel strongly. and we do not want another COP so we have to work for our GOLD.

it's not only about yourself! :)

bonds have been grown and we're not that cold towards each other so we've started to mix with others.

i'm really grateful for the seniors and i really thank God for all of them. both joys and delci. they've been encouraging us and telling us never to stop giving our best, no matter who our commander is, or whether she is strict.

i really want to do well for drill comp after practising for so many months. only God can give us strength to push ourselves and give our 150%.

dear God, please give us strength and discipline to complete our drill comp really well.

so school's okay so far, though there's homework everyday, and revision to do for weekends. orientation went really well and 1a was one of the most co-operative classes i've ever met. the kids are real fun: brenda, emilene and ppl. :) installation night was a success and everything went smoothly. thanks to joy and seniors for coming back to help us sls out. :)

helsa's back to relief teach in fairfield while waiting for her a-level results. :) haha..miss seow.

and i've grown used to my group and my leader made me the treasurer to collect fines for ppl who don't bring their bible study book. and sammie's back from work and joining us for small group. yays. :) sad that sarah and claire and kb are not in my group, but i have my pals like serena and esther with me. :) haha. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALICIA :) lots of loveee.

i thank God for making life good for me and blessing me with bountiful blessings from the start of 2009. thank God for everything! :) happy chinese niu year everyone who reads this post! :)

with st and caryn helping me with my notes, homework and stuff, i've got everything prepared and under control. thanks ppl :) and day one orientation was okay, though some were just too quiet and quite hard to mix around with. with day two coming up tomorrow, God's really providing me with a peace of mind. :)

i got my new group today for sec 3&4, and just as expected, i had been separated from sarah: crapper. i've known her for like 11 years and still close friends. :) but then i have mallory with me, and claire in another group. i got sammie and juang in my group, but sadly alicia was in another. God answered my prayer, and I got 2 of my fave leaders back with me! Thank you God! :)

our leaders want us to get new friends from our new groups and be happy with one another. :) today's lesson wrapped up our Fruit of The Spirit and we learnt self-control: about being spirit-controlled and let God control you from the inside out.

we still meet during service and so we're not going to break up totally, and we still can crap as much in our small friendship group after and before lesson. :) and i know that we have new groups for a reason, and God lets everything fall into place for me.

christmas outing & orientation 2009

busy busy busy with orientation, went back to school for dry run on 29 and 30. and we had much more fun on the second day, because everyone participated and bonded more with each other. with seniors like joy and joy helping us, it moved on smoothly :)

and i hope that orientation will go on really smoothly and that we won't be too pressured.

but christmas outing to bg really worked out and i had much fun. captain's ball after frisbee, game after game, and i got really burnt. i went suntanning with alicia, joh and sammie, just sitting in the middle of the field watching people playing games and slacking. :) my clique and i went climbing up the tembusu tree and sarah had much difficulty making her way down again. lol.. :D

and claire and i swapped our converse shoes and i'll update our picture when i have more time.

christmas:)

i enjoyed christmas this year, really much. i got to attend both services for christmas 2008, candlelit on 24 and the actual one on 25. and candlelit service was really nice cos we could hold our lighted candles and sing carols through the service, not the usual type of service on sundays.

i got much more christmas messages this year and in the morning it was one after another, and they would just keep coming in. merry christmas to everyone!

sarah and i were busy preparing our christmas presents last week and she said that she would give them out this sun but i gave most of mine on the 21. and i'm super excited about the christmas outing the leaders are holding for us this sunday, and most people are turning up! yayss. :)

and pastor gave the sermon yesterday about the darkness, desert and storm in our lives and Jesus is the answer to all our problems. Thank you God! :)

i went to church and small group yesterday though i was not really feeling well. so i didn't really absorb much during sermon. :(

we learnt about meekness during small group and it was quite a good lesson and i learnt that gentleness means humble, submissive. and i gave out most of my christmas presents except for those who didn't come yesterday and those i could not have time to give to. and alicia is back, and claire will come this coming sun. yays :)

we're having christmas outing this sunday, 11 to 7 at bg! :) and i'm finally able to make it for our small group gathering cos i'm always missing camps and outings because i'm on hols. and what we're having is probably sports and games! there's christmas service on christmas day i'll try to give my presents out to those i didn't see yesterday.

miserable...i fell ill since yesterday, and i have terrible sore throat and blocked nose. so i've decided to skip this evening's christmas party lest i become worse and would be unable to attend church tomorrow. :(

and i've been very lethargic the whole day but i went swimming this morning cos i know that if i don't get back to swimming i would never step into a pool again. so i made myself forget all the excuses about being tired and swam for one and a half hours. and here i am blogging and i hope that i will not feel too miserable the next day.

we planned a whole lot of fancy drill steps on thurs and i went back for council duty for registration yesterday and what i saw was a whole lot of fairsians and minority of people from other schools. :)

and so we're near to completing our fancy drill planning and pracs start again next year between week 3 and 4. i hope that we win the comp this year again, like we won best company in 2007's drill comp. :)

Dear God, please make me well again

back from ipoh

i'm back from ipoh and finally back to drill pracs again! :) and we are planning the final bit of fancy drill now, using the song Not Ashamed by planetshakers.

and God has been good to us, not letting us quarrel over what to put in and what not to. and so we have polished up our static drill and now most of our time we use it for fancy. and today we practised a bit of drill with our senior girls and i have to say there is much much room for improvement! so we're trying our best to correct them though sometimes we get ignored :(

our fancy drill is really coming up nicely and it fits into the song, with many steps that we really enjoy planning and trying out. i'm looking forward to trying the whole thing out when the rest of the contingent come back for the last prac :)

and back to church again, with alicia coming back on the 17th. :) and christmas round the corner, what sarah is looking forward to a lot.

and so i'm really happy with life now and i have registration duty for sec 1s 2009, and orientation trial run soon, with seniors coming back to supervise! :)

thank God for people in drill comp! it really bonds you with the rest of the company! :)

i'm back in ipoh visiting relatives and i've been trying to complete my holiday homework everyday so i wouldn't start to slack. :) i've just found time to write here in my blog. holiday for now, but i'll be having 3 extra pracs for drill 2 weeks later-doing fancy drill :)

and next week i'll be heading to penang and staying one night there. yay!

so i've gone to church here in ipoh and there's actually much difference between tacklebox and the service here. i mean.. they usually sing hymns here from the hymnal and we have all our songs on powerpoints and most of the songs we have are fast and quick. but not that i'm grumbling, it's good to have hymns once in a while!! :)

and we'll be staying here for quite sometime, around 2 weeks and will be going back to singapore on a sunday and back to mass dance and drill the next morn. and i'll be catching up on my reading the next few days and on TYS...:)

sammie came back today to church!! but then she actually came back from aus last sun, and i talked to her on the phone at night. have not seen her for a super long time..and van and sarah was just as elated as me! :)

she brought us a lot of starburst and we had a great time today at sg..listening and choosing our fruits at the same time. we're learning about Fruit of the Spirit now anyway, nice timing!

till date, we had a lot of drill comp. pracs and I brushed up on tanda and slow march, and i've improved quite a lot, by God's grace! :) yays..
we also practised on the other types of drill and we are now in the midst of planning fancy drill and the steps and whether or not we should include a song.

so my hols are not too bad or slacky nowadays and in fact is quite fun-filled. i just received news that i got into music elective next year! thank you God!

gb annual year end camp :)

i came back from camp today! and it was a whole lot of fun and we had multiple drill pracs, not forgetting NIGHT DRILL!!! our theme was: Fruit of The Spirit

our camp was 3D2N and i was in group 3 led by wenmin and I was the assistant! hahas.. :) and we had 3 super crazy but super cute sec ones: constance, cassandra and annabel :) and it was really fun surviving with them because they would make you laugh like crazy the whole day and what I lost by surviving with 3 fun kids were sleep and appetite. haha. the jokes they told were really hilarious and annabel said that she would tell me ghost stories at night and what she did was to end up sleeping the fastest. -.-

but amazing race singapore or AR SG was really fun and wenmin led us to complete stations at vivo in Mache and IMM Garden Plaza, and we spent 15mins slacking at macs in IMM. but we made it back in time and we were all satisfied :)

drill pracs were ok, and we brushed up on tanda or some people would say Thunder and they would say " if there's thunder why no lightning huh??".. hahas..jkjk... :)
and we learnt slow march and joy yeo commented saying that the contingent would sway from side to side when we went " 2,3 left and 2,3 right" but then slow march and tanda was fun and we had drill theory test where i got full marks! the only test where i can get full marks.. and at 1.25am on the first day, we were woken up to have drill test, which the sec 3s were told about but they didn't tell us.. :(
and when we were doing tanda i was yawning like crazy.

and on the whole i love group 3 or cranberry. rmb " the fruit to remember and never ever forget" and " i don't dance" ?? i love our cheers and also our very own GLAMOROUS song! :) i love cranberry, every single one of you all: wenmin, constance, cass and annabel.. we laugh like mad people but we won the most SELF- CONTROL group!

that's about it, and i really love everyone that put this camp possible!!!
